Michael, a Nicholl Fellowship and PAGE Awards semi-finalist with Beyond the Veil and The German, grew up in a working-class town in West Yorkshire, UK. This background shapes his hard-hitting stories and complex characters. He blends cross-genres with psychological elements and mind-bending plots.

Winner of the Lift-Off Global Network Manchester script competition 2021 with 'The Briton'. This script was adapted from his own screenplay 'Sapper Dorothy' with his writing partner Rafe Clayton.

Michael produced and directed his first short 'The Girl in the Attic' in August 2021 with his new film company 'Black Hole Films' alongside 'Funky Spuntik Productions'. He aims to champion northern talent with his future projects.

 

Michael has just completed writing a feature 'Wise Bunch' for SilverFox Media due for production in 2023.

 

Michael has also worked for Hollywood Jumbo Screenplay Festival and Scene It Awards as a Script Reader and Judge.
